Privacy Policy

Dimelight is built so that it doesn't need your data. We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server of ours behind the app.

What stays on your phone

The app keeps a few small values on your device: how many coins you have, the style you picked last, songs that were paid for but not finished (so the coin can be returned), the last few songs played (so a style doesn't repeat too soon) and a couple of counters that decide when to show the system's rating prompt. None of this leaves your phone through Dimelight.

Your phone's own backup may include these app preferences. On Android, Auto Backup can copy them to your Google account; on iPhone, they can be part of your iCloud or computer backup. Those backups are run by Google or Apple, and we can't see them.

Music

All 30 songs are inside the app and play locally. Nothing is streamed or downloaded.

Motion sensor

When you tilt your phone, the jukebox tilts with it. To do that, the app reads the accelerometer on the device while the jukebox is on screen. These readings are used only to draw the picture; they are never stored or sent anywhere.

Purchases

Coins are bought through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), which handle the payment. We receive no payment details and no personal information. The app only learns, on your device, that a purchase went through, so it can add the coins once.

Ratings

After you've enjoyed a few songs, the app may show Apple's or Google's built-in rating dialog. Whatever you do there is handled by Apple or Google.

No analytics, no ads, no tracking

Dimelight contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers and no crash reporting that sends data to us. It doesn't use the advertising identifier and makes no network requests of its own. The only connections are those made by Apple's or Google's purchase systems, and links in the app open in your browser only when you tap them.

Children

Dimelight doesn't collect data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Deleting the app removes its data from your phone.
